Looking at myself. I am right-handed or so I think. I write with my right hand, just as I would catch, throw or bat a ball, but I would shoot a rifle by aiming with my left eye. I compose and frame pictures with my left eye, interesting because, initially, I see a thing with both eyes. If I put my right eye to the view finder, the scene is distorted and I lose “focus.”
I never start a magazine by paging from front to back always a quick thumb from back to front with my left hand dominant. When I scan a newspaper, except for the most compelling of stories, I’ll start somewhere in the middle, jump to the end and decide if the beginning will be worth is the effort.
Photographs, I think, do not end; neither do they have a beginning.
